Born in New York, Sharon E. Wolf became a writer
early in life, specializing in survival stories for Magazine Corporation (Male, Men and True Adventure). After obtaining her
medical degree at the University of Costa Rica in 1979, she was lured back into writing on realizing that the story of her
own mother, artist Ruth Conerly, was an unrivaled survival story.
